A Special Thank You to Our Veterans

This Veterans Day, it is my great pleasure, on behalf of the Governing Body of the Borough of Point Pleasant and all of our citizens, to thank the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces.

These brave service members have fought so you and I can live our lives enjoying the freedoms found only in our great country. We should make it a priority to thank our military men and women who have served whenever an opportunity arises and especially on a day as special as Veterans Day.

While many of us will never wear the uniform of our country, we nonetheless can do our part locally, as citizens, by volunteering in our community. We can give back to society and, in doing so, show our appreciation for those brave men and woman who have sacrificed on a much larger scale and to those who continue to do so.

So today, on this Veterans Day 2015, I personally salute our service members, past and present, and encourage all members of the Point Pleasant community to do their part in the society in which we are all so thankful to live.
