Mayor Robert A. Sabosik and the Borough Council need  your help to reach individuals who may be homeless or at risk. They ask that you notify them of the upcoming Project Homeless Connect. They ask that you please share the flyer below – and more copies can be made available at Borough Hall.

On January 27, 2016, the Ocean County Homelessness Prevention and Assistance Coalition (HPAC) will participate in the annual statewide Project Homeless Connect and Point In Time Count in an effort to determine the number of people who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in our community and engage those individuals in appropriate services.  The Count is a vital component of the ongoing process to assess and address Ocean County’s need for services for this vulnerable population. The Count also contributes valuable information towards implementing and evaluating strategies to prevent homelessness.

The Point in Time Count survey will be administered at the locations in the flyer. Survey participants will be eligible to receive incentives for their time, such as personal care items, cold weather accessories, and gift cards. In addition, these sites will offer information about available resources.
