Borough of Point Pleasant – New Jersey Family, New Jersey Family Magazine and www.njfamily.com are all part of a major statewide publication whose passion and purpose is to be the essential source for NJ moms and dads on everything about parenting in our State.

As they do yearly, they review every municipality in the State of New Jersey on a variety of family issues ranging from municipal government service, affordability, recreation, schools and public safety and then create a list of the best towns in every county to raise a family.  For 2017 they have named the Borough of Point Pleasant as the best town for families in Ocean County.

New Jersey Family Magazine touted our boundless recreation opportunities, tremendous public schools and took into account the high level of service from our local Borough government including the high level of safety due to an exceptional police department and first responders.

“There is no doubt in my mind Point Pleasant Borough is the best place to raise a family not just in Ocean County, but all of New Jersey” stated Mayor Robert A. Sabosik.  “I grew up here and I raised my family here.  I ran for Mayor because I believe in this community and want it to be the very best it can be.  To get an award like this speaks volumes on the great work our schools do and the stellar job our municipal employees perform in taking care of our community.”

Council President John Wisniewski echoed those sentiments saying “I’m currently raising my family here as well and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.  Not only are we a safe town, but we have an endless array of family activities and we as a governing body are able to do this and keep the Borough affordable at the same time.”  Council President Wisniewski further went on to thank the residents of Point Pleasant saying that “Our residents are a big part of being given this honor.  They care and love their community and I’d like to thank them for the pride they have in our hometown.”

Councilwoman Snyder added that she was thrilled to get the news and that it speaks volumes on the quality of life here.  “As part of the governing body, I can tell you that we do everything we can to preserve that small town feel while still giving our residents all the services they come to expect and deserve in these modern times.  My family and I are very grateful to be part of such an exceptional community and I’d like to also thank the schools, public employees and residents for helping us in making our community so very special.”
