Our scenic beauty and small town charm have remained prevalent since our beginning and it is our mission to make sure it stays that way. The Borough of Point Pleasant was founded in 1920, when we separated from neighboring Brick Township. From our humble beginnings as a logging town and later as a resort only community, today we are a thriving, year-round borough of almost 20,000 residents, who enjoy a top-notch school district, endless recreational activities, excellent municipal services and a thriving local economy. Because of our commitment to keeping the limited open space we have, the small town charm that we cherish so dearly will never diminish. We are able to grow with the times while still being known as one of the best places to live, work and raise a family in all of New Jersey.
