Borough of Point Pleasant – We are sad to say that we have had to make the difficult decisions to cancel both our Recreation Summer Camp and our Police Youth Summer Camp for this year. There are many reasons why this decision has to be made both from an insurance and safety standpoint. Also, we will not have the ability to use our school system’s facilities this Summer where a portion of our camps take place. At the moment, there is no way we can safely operate our highly attended camps due to COVID-19 restrictions. We are hoping that we may be able to do an abbreviated program in the late Summer should it be safe to do so, we will certainly keep our residents informed on that possibility.
The last thing we want to do is put the children of our community in any type of unsafe situation. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing our campers again in the future.
