Happy 100th Birthday Point Pleasant! On May 19th 1920, the residents of Point Pleasant Borough voted 153-8 to separate from neighboring Brick Township and become its own municipality. Even though our big Centennial Celebration is being postponed until the Fall because of the current health crisis, we still wanted to mark this special day. Please enjoy the video filled with birthday messages and a quick history montage at the end. The birthday cake from New Country Bakery was donated to our Volunteer First Aid Department from the Mayor and Council to eat during their shifts. We can’t wait to celebrate together as a community when we are able to do so safely.
