Dear Residents,

One of the key facets to a thriving community is a successful local economy.  During these uncertain times, our local businesses are faced with difficult life altering decisions.  The majority of these local businesses are not large national corporations though, they are small ‘mom and pop’ shops who are our friends, family and most importantly, they are our neighbors.

While many of you have to make difficult decisions in your own personal lives due to the state of affairs regarding the Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, myself and the Borough Council implore you to still support your local businesses if you have the means to do so.  While some businesses by their nature have been temporarily closed due to the Governor’s Executive Orders to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, there are still many that are allowed to operate. The businesses still in operation are practicing social distancing and have amended their operations to limit public interaction to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Our Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce has created a wonderful Facebook Group where you can see the takeout/delivery menus of the many fine food establishments in our Borough.  The Chamber also has many local businesses who are operating online.

You can make contact and support your local businesses by using the following links:

As always, I encourage you to visit our Borough website as well for continuous updates and useful links relating to all issues surrounding COVID-19.

We all are faced with difficult decisions, but as members of a community as special as The Boro, I know we will prevail because we are all there for each other.  On behalf of the entire Borough Council, I would like to thank everyone that has gone above and beyond to help their fellow neighbors.  The Borough Council and I also would like to remind everyone to make smart social distancing and hygiene decisions and to be mindful of your surroundings.

Stay well,

Mayor Robert A. Sabosik
