Several facilities are available for the Public’s enjoyment. Playgrounds, Ball Fields and Picnic Areas are listed below:


The Recreation Center offers a Large Playground in addition to several smaller pieces of play equipment. Basketball Courts are available outside as well as inside. The inside court is mostly used to run the many programs offered here. Outside Tennis Courts are also located at this facility. A picnic area is available, as are Restrooms.

Riverfront Park – Located at the foot of the Manasquan River where the Point Pleasant Hospital once stood. This facility offers a Pavilion with tables and charcoal grills, a large Playground, walking pier, bocce court and an open area for everyone’s enjoyment. Attached to the Maxson Avenue Municipal Beach, this facility has a beach area that can be used for fishing or crabbing, however NO SWIMMING is permitted. There will be no Lifeguards available at this facility.

Community ParkLocated in the center of Town on Bridge Avenue opened to the public in the Spring of 2004. The facility has two Softball fields and a full length Soccer field. There is a Playground, concession stand and bathrooms that are open daily during times of the year that there is no threat of frost. The walking path around the perimeter of the Park is 1/3 of a mile and there is also a nature trail in the wooded area of the facility. Movie nights and special events are run at this site during the Spring, Summer and Fall.

McKennan Lake Field Two ball fields that mostly host the local Soccer and Little League Organizations. Located on Route #88 and Maplewood Avenue.

Skate Park – Located at the North corner of McKennan Lake Field on Route # 88. Facility includes skateboard ramps for use by Skateboards and inline skates only. No Bikes are permitted.  Hours of operation and rules are posted at the site.

Heritage Park – Located on Howe Street, at the Base of the Loveland Town Bridge. This facility offers outdoor Basketball, picnic area and playground.
